Description

GRIDSHIELD aims to develop a technological framework to improve the management of the impact of natural and human-induced risks on electricity transmission and distribution networks.

The project enhances the resilience of power systems and improves response capabilities to both natural and human-related threats, with a particular focus on digitalization.

CEMOSA's Role

CEMOSA is the project coordinator, leading the planning, management, and oversight of both technical and administrative activities to ensure the proper execution of the work and the achievement of the project’s objectives.

From a technical perspective, CEMOSA develops advanced methodologies for assessing the structural health of electrical infrastructure. In addition, it develops digital models of electricity distribution networks aimed at analyzing their operational behavior and supporting decision-making processes. Building on these capabilities, together with the other developments carried out within the project, CEMOSA designs and implements a digital twin of distribution networks, integrating data from digitalized infrastructure to facilitate visualization, analysis, and dynamic management. This contributes to a more efficient, resilient, and intelligent operation of the electrical grid.
