Description
DTERBIM promotes a new BIM-based collaborative methodology for the design and delivery of energy-efficient and circular construction and renovation projects. The project introduces an interoperable, adaptable and openBIM-based approach to optimise the management of resources —materials, products and energy— as well as project time and costs, while embedding circularity principles from the earliest stages
To achieve this, DTERBIM will develop and demonstrate the DTERBIM Toolkit, an integrated suite of BIM-based digital tools, AI-powered services and Digital Twins, coordinated through an openBIM framework that will facilitate data exchange, interoperability among solutions and collaboration among stakeholders throughout the whole building lifecycle: design, construction, operation, maintenance, deconstruction and reuse.
The project’s impact will be validated in two virtual pilots and demonstrated in three representative real pilots: a historical residential building in Valladolid (Spain), an academic building in Warsaw (Poland), and a school building in Athens (Greece). In this way, DTERBIM aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the construction sector, improve building energy performance, foster material reuse and support European sustainability and digitalisation goals.
CEMOSA's Role
Within DTERBIM, CEMOSA leads the development of Building Digital Twin and Sustainable Twin solutions to enhance building efficiency, develops an application for smart quality control, and oversees pilot preparation and data collection.
