This is the quality control of the Alto Tâmega Hydroelectric Exploitation projects, which is one of the most important hydraulic projects of the last 25 years.
The complex will have a total capacity of 1,158 MW, that is, 6% of Portugal’s hydroelectric production, distributed between Alto Tâmega dams, 160 MW, which will start in 2023, of Gouvães, with 880 MW, which will be operational in 2021 and Daivões, 118 MW, which will be operational in 2022.
The general aspects of the project are made up of the control of the construction of the three dams. For this, all the control tests and inspections detailed in the Iberdrola Control Plan will be carried out, such as soil tests, aggregates for concrete and hot bituminous mixtures, shotcrete, mass concrete and reinforced concrete, dosage studies for the Mass concrete laboratory for dams and also of gravels stabilized with cement and asphalt agglomerate, bolt removal, injection products, the load tests with plate according to French regulations being significant.
